Original vintage Spefika cinema spotlight in silver, Poland 1960s
36 recensioni
An original vintage cinema spotlight made in Poland in the 1960s by Spefika, silver, with a Fresnel lens, taken apart and restored piece by piece: a floor spotlight on a tripod for a living room, a study or a hallway.
An absolutely stunning film spotlight!
Its construction is what makes it so: it can be taken apart entirely, every component meticulously built and held together by many small screws. Outer body, the bars closing the ventilation slots, the Fresnel lens, the mechanism that adjusts the beam – everything has been dismantled and carefully restored.
The silver finish, cleaned and polished, speaks of the years spent lighting film sets across Europe.
It dates from the 1960s and was made by Spefika, a leading Polish company specialising in these fantastic film lights.
Many small details make it precious: on the lens, the little arms that held the coloured gels; at the back, the big Bakelite switch; underneath, a small hatch for inspecting the carriage the light is mounted on; and the lovely side handles for easy carrying.
A whole world of fascinating details that shows how specialised the factory was in building these lights.
From film sets to today’s interiors, it becomes a design piece.
