About me

Where the past meets the present to illuminate the future

Placida Lettis Luce is a journey through time, an art and design laboratory where history shines in a new light.

Daniela Marzolla, the creative force behind Placida Lettis Luce, has poured her passion and artistic talent into the preservation and careful restoration of industrial lamps from bygone eras.

Placida Lettis Luce has become the reference for the restoration of industrial lamps, standing out for the meticulousness and attention to detail with which each lamp is dismantled, checked, cleaned, and reconditioned. Rather than erasing them, the patina of time, original colors, enamels, and signs of wear are celebrated through a conservation-focused restoration, honoring the object's history, and enhancing its inherent beauty.

Our vision extends beyond mere restoration.

Through our craftsmanship, we elevate each piece into a true design statement, capable of enhancing and personalizing a wide range of environments. Whether in private residences, workspaces, or prestigious venues, Placida Lettis Luce lamps seamlessly integrate, crafting unexpected pairings and infusing spaces with historical narratives and distinct charm.

At Placida Lettis Luce, the notion of vintage transcends simple nostalgia. Here, 'vintage' represents an active and respectful reclamation of the untold stories embedded within historical objects – a preservation of industrial heritage, paying homage to the brilliance and creativity of past artisans. It's not a longing for a lost era but a recognition of their inherent value and potential to inspire the present. Placida Lettis' 'vintage' serves as a bridge linking the past, present, and future, where each piece recovered and restored brings with it the spark of a story to tell and a beauty to reveal, offering a new life and a new context to objects that would otherwise have been forgotten.

A Story of Passion, Art, and Design

The story of Placida Lettis Luce is the fascinating journey of a passion that becomes a profession.

Founded by Daniela Marzolla, an artist from Padua, the company emerged from a deep admiration for industrial lamps of the last century, objects with a unique allure and rich history. Daniela's artistic background, honed at the Art Institute of Padua, intertwines with her passion for salvaging and rejuvenating objects that would otherwise face oblivion, giving rise to the Placida Lettis Luce project. The adventure commenced with Daniela's inaugural trip to Slovakia: a modest van, unfamiliar terrain, and an unwavering determination to unearth exceptional pieces. It was there she acquired her first film lamp, now a cherished part of her private collection, marking the outset of her foray into the world of industrial lamp reclamation.

Since its establishment in 2019, with the creation of Placida Lettis Luce, she begins her journey to recover and revalue objects otherwise destined for oblivion. From a simple hobby, a passionate project was born that is dedicated to the recovery and renovation of industrial lamps, becoming a point of reference for those who love design, beauty, and uniqueness.

Since that first trip, Placida Lettis Luce has expanded, amassing a diverse assortment of meticulously restored industrial lamps and a significant warehouse. Today, Placida Lettis Luce leverages a network of contacts spanning Europe and beyond to unearth unique pieces, while interest in her work has surpassed all expectations.
