An original vintage theatre spotlight recovered from an Italian family of theatre lighting specialists, in black hammer-finish paint with a mirrored interior and a brass lamp holder, on a tripod: striking in a living room, a study or a shop.
These lamps spent their whole previous life lighting theatres all over Italy.
Recovered from the warehouse of a family that has worked in theatre lighting for 3 generations! A real thrill!
It consists of a cylindrical central body with a rounded back. Inside, the rounded part has a mirrored surface that reflects the light beautifully inside.
At the front, the classic square element that allowed filters and coloured gels to be inserted. Fitted to close off access to the inside is the metal grille.
Inside, the small structure that makes up the lamp holder. A marvel! This is the detail that makes the lamp special!
The lamp holder is in brass with a ceramic end, and in front of it a small curved metal rectangle with a beautiful patina. Its purpose was to hide the bulb and stop the light from coming straight out, reflecting it inside towards the mirrored part instead. The resulting visual effect is truly theatrical.

Every lamp is a genuine period object, salvaged and restored by hand. Signs of age and use are deliberately preserved: they prove the piece is authentic and make it one of a kind.
